Over the next few weeks we will be emphasizing awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms through our B-E-A-U-tiful acronym. The acronym stands for Bloating, Eating, Abdominal pain and Urinary frequency. These are NOT the only symptoms of ovarian cancer, but these symptoms, especially when more than one are present, are an indicator that ovarian cancer may be present and should be discussed as soon as possible with your doctor.
All women are susceptible to developing ovarian cancer, even after the ovaries have been removed. This horrific disease can develop at any age and with no known early detection method the best defense and prevention is to know the signs and symptoms. Listen to your body and if you or someone you love is experiencing any of the B-E-A-U-tiful symptoms please meet with your doctor as soon as possible. Every day matters and could save a life from ovarian cancer.
